Ever wonder what goes on in the minds and hearts of cat lovers?

Recently, I joined a few Facebook groups about cats, and began noticing similarities and trends.

Here are some of my observations and comments.

Who are involved in the posts and comments

Let’s start with a brief look at the “players”.

Who are these Cat Lovers that Post and Comment?

• People who own cats or used to own cats.
• People who live with cats or used to live with cats.
• People who visit with cats or take care of cats. Examples include: friends or relatives of cat owners, pet-sitters, and people who work at a shelter.
• People of various ages, genders, and life situations, who may or may not have human or animal children.
• The Cat. At least, occasionally someone will claim the cat made the post or comment. Or made their human do it under the cat’s guidance or influence.

What Do the Cat Lovers and the Cats Call Each Other?

• Cat lovers call cats various nicknames, such as Fluffy Butt, Floof…
